Children's Home Celebrates Centennial, Honors CFD

On August 12, 2000, The Children's Home of Cromwell celebrated 100 years of caring for children with great fanfare and a homecoming. In a ceremony attended by dignitaries from across the country, the Cromwell Fire Department was thanked for its support over the past century. On behalf of our department, Chief David Colligan accepted a beautiful framed painting created by one of the residents. A gold plaque on the painting reads

Special Thanks for Helping Us
Care for Children for 100 Years

The Cromwell Police Department and the Town of Cromwell were also honored for their strong support of the mission and ministry of The Children's Home.
